Questions & Answers

Have a Question?

Ask a Question
  • LOOKING FOR GRIPS FOR MY PRINCE CLUBS WITH TAPER SHAFTS?

Can you measure the outside diameter of the shaft (without grip)? You'll then want to match that to the closest grip size available (for example, this Tacki-Mac Bubble has a core size of 0.810").

  • I understand the butt end is size .810, what size is the other end… .600?

The core side (inside diameter is 0.810"), and is roughly parallel. The outside diameter is around 0.900".

  • Will the 810 grip fit ladies taylor made L-60 plus bubble shaft?

Most TaylorMade bubble shafts do fit the .810" core grip. However to confirm, please remove your existing grip and verify the outer diameter of the shaft (butt end) to make sure.

  • how do I know if I need the 810 or the 865 for my burner shaft driver? Additionally, why do I need the tool to put the grip on?

The best thing to do would be to remove the old grip and measure the outer diameter of the shaft at the butt end. This will be the core size of the grip you'll need.

The reason bubble grips usually require a special installer tool is because they are very thin and stretchy. They don't have much rigidness to them, so they are difficult to push/slide onto a shaft, like how a normal grip would be installed.

Please read: What you need to know about bubble grips

  • Will these fit an older taylormade 7 wood

Bubble grips will only fit bubble shafts, which a 0.810" butt diameter.

  • Will that taki mac bubble grips work on Goodwin shafts/clubs

You'll want to measure the butt diameter of the shaft and then match to the closet core size of a grip. Sorry, we do not have information on Goodwin shafts/club, but maybe you can reach out to the manufacturer to get this information.

  • Will this grip fit the Taylormade Burner L 60 shaft?

Yes, The TaylorMade Burner shafts will fit the .810" Tacki-Mac bubble grip.

  • Can you get the 810 core in an oversize grip?

It only comes in a standard size grip.

  • Will these fit my 20 year old Taylor Made burner Ladies clubs with the Bubble shaft?

Yes, as long as the shaft has the same outer diameter (0.810"), then they will fit.

  • Will buble shaft grip work on my Masterfit driver

It depends - if the shaft outer diameter is about the same as the core size of the grip (0.810), then yes it would fit.

  • Hello. Will this fit a Taylor Made Burner Firesole iron?

Yes, the Tacki-Mac Bubble 0.810 grip will fit the TaylorMade Burner Firesole shaft, since it has the matching shaft OD.

  • Will these fit Prince irons?

Can you measure the outer diameter of the butt end of the shaft? If it's 0.810" (or pretty close), it should fit. Please note, you'll need an installer tool for installation.

  • Will these fit the Tommy Armour TI-100 clubs? Thanks.

You'll want to check the outer diameter of the butt end of the shaft. If it's equal or close to 0.810, then it will work. Fyi - here are some additional bubble grips, in case the measurements are different: https://www.grips4less.com/collections/bubble-golf-grips

  • Can I build up the shaft to mid-size

Technically with bubble shafts/grips, you are already past midsize in terms of the outer diameter of the grip. You can try adding a few layers of tape, but it's not easy to install bubble grips in general, so there may be some issues getting the grips with added tape. If you'd like to try, we highly recommend this tool for installing bubble grips - https://www.grips4less.com/products/ultimate-grip-installer-tool

Let us know if you have any questions here.

  • Tape that is 2" wide on my Bubble shaft won't make it all the way around the circumference of the shaft! It's about 2.5" circumference near the end of the shaft! Is it ok if the tape doesn't cover the whole shaft or do you carry wider tape for bubble shafts?

Yes, we'd recommend the 3/4" wide tape and use it to wrap around the shaft in a spiral pattern to cover the surface area of the shaft.

Bubble grip

This grip appears to be no different in shaft size than regular grips. Still very difficult to install on a bubble shaft.

Tacki-Mac Grips (.810" core)

Replaced (9) grips. No problem! Tore the tenth grip. There really thin because of the bubble shaft. It's important to keep the grip centered to the shaft when pushing it on! You are sending me a replacement grip at no cost. Thank's again!!!

Fit perfectly and have good stretch to fit over the butt section of the shaft

I have a set of Lynx Crystal Cat irons that needed new grips, and these were one of the few grips I found on the marketplace that were big enough to fit over the large butt of the shaft.

In addition to these grips I purchased the suggested grip installation tool, which turned out to be key to successful grip installation.

Swirling grip solution on the inside of the grip itself, and then using a lot of solution on the grip tape made installation easy. The grip installation tool stretched the grip to get it over the butt, and then made it a piece of cake to pull the grip down the remaining length of the shaft. Using this approach, I thought it was an easy installation overall.

The grips themselves are good - they have tackiness and feel good in the hands.

I would definitely purchase these grips again for installation on bubble shafts, and I would strongly suggest the use of the installation tool to make the job easier.

Good luck!
