Have a Titleist Ts2 16.5 loft fairway wood. Shaft is Fugikura Air Speeder 40 R2, Senior flex. Have control issues. Shaft seems too whippy. Considering going to Aldila NVS orange (NXT) 55 regular flex w/titleist adapter installed. Swingweight is D0 now. Would my swingweight increase/decrease with a standard 50 gram grip? Would going to a regular flex shaft help the control issues?
Good afternoon Bernie, because the NVS is slightly heavier, it might decrease the swing weight slightly. By going to a regular flex, it should provide better control, as it is stiffer than the R2 flex. This is all just an estimate, as without doing the replacement or seeing the swing, it is hard to say.

What is the butt section OD of a nvs orange 65 g stiff shaft

On the Aldila NVS, you list an X flex and a s flex. Which (if either) would be a senior flex? I purchased a r flex, but I'm looking for one for my wife.

The ALDILA® NVS Orange is one of the most popular after-market shafts ever. The NVS Orange features ALDILA® ‘s NexGen Micro Laminate Technology® (MLT) - which uses up to twice as ultra-thin layers of premium grade carbon fiber material, to eliminate unwanted gaps and “dead zones” that can occur during the manufacturing process. MLT enhances feel and eliminate inconsistent shots cause by shaft variability.
