HOW TO REGRIP YOUR CLUBS

FIRST TIME RE-GRIPPING? HERE'S EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW

IMPORTANT: Before you begin re-gripping your golf clubs, make sure to review #1 and #2 to understand what tools you need, and how the process works. Then watch the video for the brand of golf grips you are using (#3). #4 and #5 provide information on optional tools and advanced usage of tape.

 

#1 - RE-GRIPPING TOOLS & SUPPLIES

Make sure to have these required re-gripping tools & supplies before you start.
  1. GRIP TAPE
  2. GRIP SOLVENT or Mineral Spirits
  3. GRIP REMOVAL TOOL or Hook Blade

 

 

#2 - STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS

#3 - WATCH VIDEO EXAMPLES

Watch the example instruction video for your brand of grips. If there is no specific video for your brand of grips below, then use this General Instruction Video as your guide. Please note the example set up may be slightly different from yours. Only watch the video AFTER reviewing the "Step By Step Instructions from #2 (above).

#4 - SPECIALIZED RE-GRIPPING TOOLS (OPTIONAL)

These are recommended tools that can make it easier and faster for you to re-grip your clubs. They are not required, but can be beneficial if you plan on re-gripping more than 1 set of clubs per year. 

  • RUBBER SHAFT CLAMP & Clamp Vise
  • Use this rubber shaft clamp together with a vise to protect your shaft while you perform the re-gripping steps. You can find a general purpose vise at any local hardware store.
    • UNEEKSCRAPER TAPE REMOVER
    • Stop wasting time removing old grip tape! This tool gives you a fast and effective way to remove all traces of the old tape.
    • GRIP INSTALLER TOOL
    • A simple and highly effective tool for installing bubble, oversized/jumbo grips, or pretty much any size golf grip!

     

     

    #5 - BUILDING UP WITH GRIP TAPE
